Craft Events

In 2009, we will combine jurying of entries for Summer Art Potpourri and Crafts Weekend. The deadline date is at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 31. Entries will be juried by viewing slides or digital images on a CD. Please see the provided prospectus for each event. (Coming soon!)

Summer Art Potpourri
This special event is open to Alaska artists, authors and craftspeople. It takes place in the museum's atrium July 1-31. Artists selected have the opportunity to demonstrate their art form and sell their work to museum visitors. A prospectus is available from the Anchorage Museum Shop or by calling (907) 929-9253.

Crafts Weekend at the Museum
This three-day Thanksgiving weekend event marks the opening to the museum's holiday programs and celebrates its 21st Anniversary. Forty artists will be selected to sell their crafts in the festive space of the museum's atrium and adjoining spaces.
