Educators
EducatorsThe Museum offers guided tours for classes of all ages in exhibits of Alaska history and art and in special exhibits. Artifact kits are available on loan from the Education Department for use in the classroom, and other resource materials such as videotapes on discipline-based art education are also available. Gallery guides for the Alaska Gallery, the Art of the North galleries, and the Children's Gallery exhibit are offered free of charge to educators. Teachers are welcome to do research in the Museum Archives, and the Museum Shop is always a good source for books, videos, CDs, and curriculum guides on Alaska subjects.

Artists
ArtistsSolo exhibitions,
juried shows,
Crafts Weekend in November, and
Art Potpourri in the summer are regular opportunities for Alaska artists and craftspeople to show their work at the Museum. Throughout the year, the Museum employs artists to
teach classes, and through the Municipality's
1% for Art Program, artists are commissioned to create public art. The Museum Shop carries a variety of work by Alaska artists and craftspeople.
