MAMMOTH MEMBERSHIP DEAL
For a limited time, Anchorage Museum members can enjoy free admission to the University of Alaska Museum of the North in Fairbanks and vice versa.

The Anchorage Museum’s Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age exhibition features 15 woolly mammoth fossils discovered in Alaska, including a hair sample and an intact woolly mammoth skull found near Fairbanks. The majority of these Alaska fossils are teeth and tusks on loan from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, which owns more than 13,000 Ice Age mammal specimens.

To obtain reciprocal general admission, you must present your current Anchorage Museum membership card when purchasing admission tickets at the Museum of the North. This reciprocity deal expires Oct. 9, the day Mammoths and Mastodons closes.

The University of Alaska Museum of the North collects, researches, and educates people about objects from Alaska and the circumpolar North. Its collections of 1.4 million artifacts and specimens span the fields of archaeology, earth science, zoology, ethnology, history and fine arts. Learn more at www.uaf.edu/museum.
