Membership & Giving

The Anchorage Museum presents and curates vital and resonant exhibits, giving particular focus to the art, history and science of Alaska. The museum brings to Anchorage and Alaska major touring shows in addition to developing and sharing its own celebrated exhibits. All of this is made possible by our members and donors. Your support helps bring this vision to reality, resulting in a museum that is a source of pride for our community.

The Anchorage Museum welcomes The Imaginarium – Alaska’s hands-on, minds-on discovery center – which will open within the Anchorage Museum in 2010, debuting an all-new facility and planetarium where people of all ages can learn about physics and the natural world.

Beginning in 2010, the museum’s 8,000 square-foot Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center will showcase an unparalleled collection of rare Alaska Native objects, an archaeology laboratory and a cutting-edge combination of video, audio and interactive displays.

Whether you visit once a month or once a year, your support helps to ensure that this amazing museum will remain a vital source of art and inspiration for generations to come.
