Donation/Sponsorship Request Guidelines

The Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center is dedicated to enhancing cultural, artistic and educational opportunities as well as developing strong community ties through active involvement with local organizations and events.

Types of donations
The Anchorage Museum typically makes in-kind donations of museum memberships or admit-one passes.

The museum makes donations to organizations and events in the following areas:

  • Tourism/travel
  • Education
  • Arts/culture
  • Non-profit
Donations may include family memberships for live/silent auctions or sponsorship of tables at fundraising events. The Anchorage Museum does not donate to individuals, sports events, religious or political organizations or to pageants.

Donation Items May Include:

Museum family memberships (value $90)
Donated museum memberships are not redeemable for cash and must be redeemed within a year of being awarded or purchased.

Admit-one passes (value $10 each)
A specific number of admit-one passes may be donated annually to non-profit organizations and to organizations that serve individuals with disabilities.

Criteria for Donations:

  • All donation requests must be made in writing using the donation request form available online. Requests will not be filled over the phone.
  • All requests must include all required information. Requests with missing information will not be reviewed.
  • Requests must be made at least 30 days prior to the date of event.
  • The Anchorage Museum will accept one donation request per organization per calendar year.
